7. You need to read the question carefully (many students are in a hurry and mistakenly read the question from looking for antonyms to looking for synonyms, thus losing points which is very unfortunate).

9. Apply the method of elimination if possible to help find the answer quickly.

For example, in the error detection test, three questions focus on knowledge of verb tenses, possessive pronouns/adjectives, two words with the same root that can easily cause misunderstandings about meaning. Once you understand the type of lesson and the content of knowledge to focus on, students will easily find the right solution. From there, students will need to think about which lesson to do first and which lesson to do later, so as not to waste time.

Identify questions by level (recognition, understanding, application, high application)

Another piece of advice is that students need to allocate reasonable time for each question. Suggestions are as follows:

– Identification question: 30 seconds

– Comprehension question: 50 seconds

– Application questions: 80 seconds

– Highly applicable questions: 100 seconds

– 10 to 15 minutes for reading depending on length

Note, usually pronunciation and stress questions are at a recognition level; Questions about verb tenses and articles at the comprehension level; Questions about phrasal verbs, idioms, synonyms, antonyms at the application level...

Many students often skip the step of analyzing the problem when doing the test, leading to incorrect answers. Typically, in the task of finding antonyms, many students mistook it for the task of finding synonyms and chose the wrong answer.

A mistake students often make is choosing the answer (correct), then wondering and choosing another answer (wrong). This error is mainly due to uncertain knowledge and failure to identify traps in interference options.

This year's high school graduation exam takes place from June 26 - 29. In particular, candidates complete the exam procedures on June 6.

On June 27 and 28, candidates take mandatory tests, including: Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language and one of two combined tests: natural sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and science. social studies (History, Geography, Civics with General Education or History, Geography with Continuing Education).

According to regulations, in the high school graduation exam, only Literature is tested in essay form, the remaining subjects are tested in multiple choice format.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, this year there were 1.067.391 candidates registered to take the exam on the system (in 2023 there will be 1.024.063). Of these, 45.344 candidates freely registered to take the exam (2023 in 37.841).
