Today the Tarleton State University Department of Public Administration hosted its first luncheon with a panel discussion on resilience of local governments in times of domestic threats. Huge thanks to our incredible panelists Steve Stanford Derrick Majchszak, MPA Trish Burwell Jason King Richard Mann for sharing their insights and expertise. The turnout was fantastic! A full house filled with dedicated public servants eager to learn and make a difference in their communities. Also, a big shoutout to the fantastic PA faculty who organized this event Trace Rickman Jie Tao, Ph.D. Md Shahriar Islam Joohi Kim. I am beyond fortunate to be part of such an amazing team.

They warned me they have a great team and culture at Celina Police Department; they weren’t kidding!👮♂️The camaraderie and positive vibes I witnessed today were truly inspiring💙. What struck me the most was that not only are they committed to making a real difference in the community, but they also have genuine concern for the well-being of their employees. Kudos to Chief John Cullison for leading such an outstanding team and for creating a workplace where people genuinely have fun at work. He is a shining example that leadership matters!

Today I spoke to an ILEA class about the importance of higher education 🎓 for LEOs 👮♀️and was delighted to meet our very own MPA student Taylor Mueller from the Southlake Police Department. Taylor is a shining example 🌟 of dedication and balance between Work ✅Grad school ✅ Family ✅ And although he might need a little help picking out the RIGHT shirt 👕, I am still very proud of his commitment to serving his community and advancing his education (but seriously, someone get this man a shirt with the RIGHT logo 😜) Tarleton State University Department of Public Administration Institute for Law Enforcement Administration

Grateful for the opportunity to spend time with these North Carolina law enforcement leaders at the LEEP program 👮👮♂️. I’ll tell ya, they were a TOUGH crowd to crack! But once they realized they can’t scare me with awkward silences, they opened up and shared invaluable insights. Their commitment to continuous improvement is truly commendable and what makes a significant impact on our communities. And there’s even a video proving they had at least one good laugh 😆 and of course, kudos to Dr. James R. Brunet for running such a prestigious program that produces better leaders! Thank you for having me again.
