had a section 6/7, my first compared to vagin*l last time.
Pads are needed, and I liked a peri bottle just for rinsing. High rise underwear, I didn’t go a belly band because the doctors said they prefer you start utilizing your muscles and core right away vs relying on a support garment. Don’t wait on pain meds if you’re in pain first 4-5 days. I liked button up pajama shirts for BF and not having to worry about a waistband or pants having to be pulled up and down with the soreness of the c section.

I’ve had 2 and definetly don’t recommend wearing a belly band especially if it is hot weather where you live. IThat’s how I kept getting infections due to sweating and the incision not being able to breathe. If you decide on a belly band- hospital provides them. You still bleed and most likely will same amount as if you had a vagin*l. Bring comfortable shoes - feet tend to swell a lot after csection. I feel like I didn’t need anything stronger than Tylenol after I was discharged.

you really don’t need anything at the hospital they will provide for you. I did perfer disposable underwear for the first few weeks (frida makes good ones)
I’m on my third c section- I swore by a belly band I left the OR in one and wore it for the first month. To me I just felt more zipped up if that makes sense haha
