  1. This is one heck of a neat recipe! Mighty simple to fix and very nice to the tastebuds! Served with Picnic Green Bean Salad by Princess Buttercup and Dancer's Homemade Flour Torts. Made a great meal. Thanks for posting a real winner, Barbara.Laudee C.

  2. I added thyme, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to the mix (I read another "boston market" recipe that included these ingredients). Everyone at the table loved the chicken!!! I had made two kinds, this and an italian marinade... no one touched the italian! This chicken browns very nicely! Delicious!

  3. The recipe was pretty good but I added alot of stuff to it. I used chicken thighs loosened the skin and made a filling of butter, majorom, lime rind, fresh shallot, fresh garlic, pepper, 1 crushed chicken bouillon, brownsugar lemon pepper and neuf chatel (a light cream cheese). Once I filled the skin I make a marinade of lime zest, vegetable oil and all the other ingredients previously mentioned plus paprika for color. I baked it and it tasted just like boston market chicken. Also I put the oven on 400 with no cover for 20 minutes and added chicken broth (low sodium) to cook in until evaporated or close to.

  4. I have another recipe similar to this, but it's got a lot more taste. I fixed this today and while it's good, I would not say it's one of the best i've eaten. I'm not sure what it lacks, but I found it slightly on the bland side.

  5. Quick, easy, and delicious!

Tweaks

  1. I don't eat at Boston Market enough to determine the likeness with their recipe, but everyone in my family enjoyed it! I had to substitute lemon juice for the lime juice because I discovered I was out when I made it! This was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Definitely a keeper!

Zaar...Wow, what a place! I'm one of the old timers of Zaar. I can't count the number of wonderful dishes I cooked in the past few years since joining. Along the way I have had the pleasure of meeting several Zaar chefs. Talk about your fruits and nuts! lol. I have enjoyed meeting them all.Family: What's to say...I have had the same sweet husband forever (Good thing....I'd hate to have to break a new one in...=) and live close to a couple of grown children. (Maybe you've met Smoke Alarm Jr. ..her brown rolls are sooo good!) Therefore, my family gets together often to enjoy each other's company and cooking. My greatest joy is six "little to tallerthanme" kids running around calling me Grammy. They wear me out! lolFor the past thirty years I have been a Special Education teacher for grades 9-12 and love it. Took some time off last year to recovery from surgery, chemotherapy and radiation for breast cancer. (Loved the radiation....I keep imagining that we are absolutely napalming the nasty cancer cells tohellandback to keep the little suckers from returning. =) My prognosis is good and now "I'm back in the saddle again". lol. Being a north country "gurl", I am happiest outside...walking, fishing, sitting in front of an outdoor fire or being on water (although in February it's a bit stiff....=0) When indoors I like to read, garden, knit, quilt and paint. During cold Maine weather I like to warm my feet on a very large ( 100 pounds of long legs and huge feet), sweet and furry golden retriever named Kerry (aka KTBRD: Kerry the big red dawg..lol) . In the summer, the dawg and I round up the grandkids, hit the local dairy bar for a Mounds Sundae that is to die for!!!=0) . Then spend a lot of long and lazy summer days at camp . All in all...Boy, Life is good! =)
